photo shoot time

I was trying to get a good photo of the two kiddos for a gift idea for my Grandma's birthday and let me tell you, that was a job! It took LOTS of tries, LOTS of bribes, and LOTS of sounding ridiculous in effort to make either or both smile. Below are some of my favorite shots from our time outside....

In other news, if you think of it pray for us. Josh has been remodeling houses for the last year and a half, along with being a Realtor. The investment company that he's been working with is changing quite a bit and all the houses are finished and listed except for one...and unfortunately, that one burnt down last week (with only 2 weeks left until it was finished). So with that happening he's out of work for the moment until we go to PA next week for him to work on a house there. We're not sure what is happening after that but we know that God is faithful and will continue to provide, as He always does!

Miles' first trip to Indiana!!

We had a great time visiting family in Indiana. Visits are never long enough. Miles was such a good traveler and today we're all resting up after being gone for a few days :) Here are some photos from our trip....

smiles and giggles

Today we got our first giggle from Miles and it melted my heart. I forgot how sweet little baby laughs are!! Sydney and I tickled him until he was tired of it and got to hear so many little giggles! (He even did it for Josh over the phone!) It made my day! He's 8 weeks today and goes to the doctor next week for his 2 month check up (and shots, boo! :( ) He continues to be such a good baby and I feel pretty blessed for that!
I'm definitely still learning how to be a mom of 2. It's hard to balance my attention between the two kiddos. I'm learning when to ask Sydney to wait so I can take care of Miles and when to let Miles fuss so I can be there for Syd. I'm slowly getting more sleep which helps. I'm thankful that Sydney is patient and has handled the change like a champ!  It's definitely a balance I haven't quite achieved but I'm getting there :)  In the meantime I'm thankful for such a gracious little girl and a low key baby during this learning process!

Here's some smiles from Miles :)
